Donate to the Norfolk Heritage Fleet Trust
The Norfolk Heritage Fleet Trust is a unique organisation in the UK, established to uphold the skills and traditions of the Yard and to encourage youth sailing through a bursary fund, which provides resources to subsidise youth groups sailing on the Fleet. The yachts under the care of the Trust are the only fleet from the 1930’s that are still all together and still based in their original sheds.
Since 1996, hundreds of young people have had the opportunity to sail for the first time and experience greater self-confidence and a new perspective on the world.Â
We rely on donations to enable us to keep taking deserving young people sailing and to ensure that our yachts are maintained to the high standards required. There are a number of ways in which you can help.

A Gift to the Norfolk Fleet Heritage Trust in your Will means that you will help future generations experience and enjoy this unique fleet of wooden boats.
When the Charitable Trust was formed in 1996, it undertook to keep this iconic fleet of Traditional Norfolk Broads cabin cruisers intact and to continue operating from its original home at Ludham. To do this, it is necessary to employ people with the specialist boat-building skills and re-establishing an apprenticeship scheme will ensure the skills can be carried forward.
One of the Trust’s Aims, is to encourage young people to sail and experience the natural beauty of the unique Broads land and waterscape, so that future generations will continue to be able to enjoy this. The skills of teamwork, discipline and tolerance the young people develop will be valuable to them as they mature.
Those of us who care about the preservation of this 1930’s fleet have the opportunity to help give a promise to future generations for their experience and enjoyment.
